Building a website for SCIEMUN

I was contacted by the organizers of SCIEMUN in the August of 2022. They wanted me to make a website for SCIEMUN. I knew a thing or two about it because I have attended MUNs before, even receiving a best delegate award for the Security Council as Russia in 2018. 

It all comes down to the presentation of the website. Luckily because I knew about SCIEMUN, I could make layouts fit their information. For example, each committee has a logo of their own, (I tried to find the ones that matched). But it turned out many Committees did not have a special UN logo (unlike the WHO or HRC for instance).

Nevertheless, I spent great effort in ensuring the website was designed properly and worked for all devices (phones, tablets, PCs).

What's funny was that, apparently the organizers did not have a high resolution image of their logo (which didn't look very good either). So I actually made a logo myself for SCIEMUN and presented it them. It seems they have fully adopted this logo now (I was originally tasked to make the website for their 2022 event, which is now continued to 2023).

As I am writing this blog post, it is only a few months away from the 2023 conference of SCIEMUN (November 2023 ). I wish them a very successful conference. Check out the website.
