Randomizer: Make decisions for you
Have you ever struggled to make a decision? I often find myself in a situation where I don't know what do choose. Basically, I suffer from indecision.
Most of the time it's the things that you can't quantify, like what to eat for example. Am I certain a burger would be better than a sandwich?
Luckily, I knew programming, and within a couple of hours I wrote a tiny program called “Randomizer”, which would help you make your decision, and it's incredibly simple to use.
For example, I've just typed Burger and Sandwich, separated by a comma. If you click on the randomize button on the bottom right, you'll get your randomized decision!
I suppose I'm having a burger for lunch then.
After having this “Simple Randomizer”, I thought, why not build upon it?
This prompted me to add number randomization and random groupings, which is arguably the most useful.
As showcased, all you need to do is type out all the names, and give the number of groups you would like to make, and that's it. It is an incredibly useful feature for teachers.
I released the app on the Mac App Store, and received some unexpected praises.
I was surprised such an easy application would be used in a place so far away. I did followup on him and made some enhancements to the app. It's quite an interesting experience, how you could come up with a need, solve it yourself, share it around, and ultimately help others!
Randomizer is a free to use app on the Mac App Store, with a 5 Star Rating! Go check it out if you have some decisions to make :)
